As the top legal advisors and chief law enforcement officers of their respective jurisdictions, state attorneys general are at the intersection of law and policy, uniquely positioned to confront the most pressing issues faced by citizens. Among these issues are the disparate treatment faced by people of color, particularly black and brown individuals, when confronted by police officers and the disturbing rise in hate crimes across the country, including those targeting the Asian American and Pacific Islander (AAPI) community.
